A couple of Budel questions

Hi,
As Sue and I are Budel-virgins we want to ask a couple of questions.
Are the toilets and showers any good and close to where we camp ?
What is the food available at Budel like ?
Can we get breakfast stuff there ?
Once you are on site, do you stay on site or do you go shopping ?
I may think of some more yet

Since the fields are usually filled with horses (it ain't a campsite) toiles and showers are the mobile versions. They come in blocks per 8 or 10. Not as bad as Spa but for sure not as good as on Victoria Farm. There are kept clean at a regular frequency.

French fries and hamburgers mainly. Beter bring your own food stuff. Some KCM-members will bring BBQ's to use.

I'm not aware of centraly organised breakfasts for event visitors.

Stay in! The que at the entrance by car / bus can easly take over 3 hours at peak hours. You will need all the available Budel-time to walk around, have chat, ect.
Do all your (food) shopping in advance. (supermarkets nearby)
When it gets rainy, it gets so muddy that you would not like to relocate the bus until sunday afternoon. If it gets muddy we are camping on the less muddy corner. Rubber boots might be on your wish lists in that scenario...

Shop before you enter budel, don't leave before satarday afternoon or it will take you 2 hours to get back in. Showezs are ok and if you are there @ (i think 17H) you are the first to use them. The toilets are kept clean by a local organistion (the local football club or something) and they do a good job.

btw: What time do you expect to arrive in Budel?

if I remember correctly there is a special lane to enter Budel if you've already paid, so you don't have to wait for hours. There's a supermarket in Budel, but it's not at walking distance.
In 2008 however there was a big problem with mud and people getting stuck and ruining the grass, so then they closed up all entries (also the paid lane) and put down big metal plates so driving would be easier. The budel organisation says they are now better prepared for mud problems (which hopefully won't be neccesary) so I don't expect similar problems this year.
