Sean's VW Kubel Project
Well at last I have got the Kubel in the garage. With all the house moving from my son and Rita not being well things have had to be prioritised a bit meaning the Kubel has had to wait...
So here is the first foto of my car that will end up being satin black with brown upholstery......
Start of the collection of parts that need changing.
Then she will be riding on a set cookie cutters.
I found the front windscreen in holland in the crazy mans garage in lukesgestel. That was lucky..
Meet some of my friends that are going to help me with this project.
Got a nice set of brakes to go on it too.
So I will be coming shopping soon to get me some floor pans but first I need to part the body from the chassis and then we will see....
HELLO HUSTON, WE HAVE MODULAR SEPARATION.
Now I just need big strong guys to lift and dock it so i can get wheels back on chassis... All help greatfully received.
Had Richard and Bjorn around this evening. We tipped the Kubel. So no need to hang it up and now I got loads of space to work in and get some welding done and really make the bottom nice. Thanks guys, you know the most things you cant see because they are so close to your nose. Thanks for advise and help this evening. Time to get on with.

Re: Sean's VW Kubel Project
This weekend got the kever front beam fitted in, but it was some seriously stuck on bolts to get loose, special thanks go to WD40 for doing its bit.
So here is the old beam off
Then the Kever vooras put in its place. Now just need to replace brakes and steering rod Fuseekogels (Ball joints). Time to go shopping again.
Lots of cleaning to do here, before I can say the front beam is ready.

Kurt its not about who has the better Kubel, its about what you personally put into a resto project. Thanks for the compliment though, I will be more than happy with my Kubel if it looks as good as yours does right now. Cheers Sean
